San Francisco Camera Walk - A Success!

My associate and great photographer Bill Langton and I hosted a camera walk in the North Beach area of San Francisco on July 16th. We had intended to start shooting the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset however the fog was so thick we couldn't see the bridge! Well almost...so when you're given lemons - make lemonade! Of course we weren't disappointed since the Presidio is by itself a fascinating place. We shot some of the old buildings, monuments, and the National Cemetery - a very poignant place.
We made a pit-stop at Liverpool Lil's for a bite to eat and a drink then moved on to the Embarcadero where we shot the Bay Bridge, the Rocket, as well as the Ferry Building and some street life. It was then off to my favorite in the area, The Palace of Fine Arts.  The renovation came out great!  We took a bunch of shots there and I was able to finally get a nice image of the inside of the Dome.  Before we knew it it was 12am and we decided to call it a night.  A good time was had by all and we vowed to do it again.

Bill and I received good feedback and have decided to go forward in planning a "Fall Colors Workshop" in the eastern Sierras.  Likely dates will be in October 2011.  We will tour numerous photogenic locations in the northern Owens Valley including Mono Lake over a 3-4 day period.
